Hi, and welcome!

My name is Liz, and I have made a career out of transforming houses into homes.

For the past 7 years, I have bought, gutted, spruced and sold over a dozen houses in Dallas, Texas.  But my love of homes started much earlier, visiting the job site as my parents’ home was painstakingly renovated when I was in grade school.  In fact, some of my earliest memories are of rearranging furniture in my childhood bedroom and turning each shelf of my bookcase into individually furnished and decorated “apartments.”  As a kid, I even won a blue ribbon at the State Fair of Texas for a diorama of a teddy bear’s bedroom.  A little weird, but it’s worked out for me!

My daily life is centered around homes – finding homes for clients as a real estate broker, writing about home renovation on my blog It’s Great to be Home, and flipping houses with my husband.  Our work has been featured in Redbook magazine.  Our baby girls and two fat cats haven’t been all that helpful in the family business…yet.

While I love everything about renovating houses, my favorite part of the entire process is figuring out how to transform a dated, dysfunctional space into a home that someone walks into and thinks, “I want to live here.”  I’d love to help you feel that way about your home.
